Update: Effective July 18th there will be a $25 non-refundable Deposit required to register for each class
Our Hive management Class will cover your second year as a beekeeper, taking you through the necessary treatments and medications, continuing inspections, frame manipulation, and preparing for and making splits. The class will run from 9 am to 3 pm and will include a copy of Beginning Beekeeping, as well as a catered lunch. The first half of the class will be in-classroom study and Q&A with a power point presentation. After lunch we will suit up and head outside for a practical, hands-on approach to learning. During this outside portion of the class you are urged be as involved, or as removed, as you wish to be depending on your personal comfort level. Attendees are encouraged to bring any personal protective wear (hat, veil, gloves, suit, or jacket) that they may own. For those who may not yet own any protective wear, we do have loaner equipment available.
